An uber driver gave me a card with a promo code UBERDRIVERLOVE. IIRC it's $25 (might be $20). New accounts only.

I am a new user and have to get from Cedarhurst to JFK this week. I just signed up and entered the FIRSTRIDE30 code. When I checked the Uber app it says nobody is available. Is that a general finding from the 5 towns or just at this time? Thanks.

give it a few minutes and someone should become available...as long as you dont wait until last minute, should not have a problem getting a car to come from JFK to get you...keep an eye on the app starting 45 minutes before you need the car, that's my advice
