I would think its like the BA, and UA cards. Create a brand new IHG account, and try to keep as much info. diff. then your other IHG account. Then put the new account number on your CC app.

They always give me a choice between 500 points, a bag of nuts or a free drink at the hotel bar. I always get the free drink and the 500 points always post anyway. The ones who recognize me give me the free drink and the bag of nuts. Good for late night snacking in the room...

Really? I have never been denied an upgrade when I requested one... Including intercontinental hotels.

Maybe I was upgraded once. I'm really not sure. More often, and in many different hotels in different states I was told there are no better rooms available when their website was clearly selling many.

Yes. Platinum. And this was before there was Spire. So That's treatment for their highest elites. Lol.
