Anyone been to this place? Any good?

I've been several times. The restaurant is OK. There is a very limited menu of simple food presented nicely. The hotel is one of the best on the island. Neither are particularly exciting IMO. The Amalfi coast has far superior hotels but no kosher.

Anyone do a trip to Amalfi? Any recommendations for food, or is it BYOK?

There is no kosher food in Amalfi. Capri is a 30 min boat ride away and has a kosher restaurant at the Tiberio palace hotel.

My wife and I are considering going to Ischia for 4 days/3 nights.  Anyone been there? Advice on any must see/dos? Any insight on the Kosher food situation? TIA!

Yes, great simple and tasty food. Nice wine selection. If you go to Capri you must stay at least 1 night preferably 2+. The island gets packed with tourists during the day and quiets down at night and is really beautiful to walk around. Definitely do a boat tour around the island and visit all the caves and sights. Rent a scooter and go to the blue grotto for sunset and a swim in the cave. If your staying overnight that's the best way to see the blue grotto. During the day they don't let you swim unless you come on a tour and the wait is long usually.

Planning a trip to Italy for a week and want to get some feedback on the itinerary is it enough time in each destination, anything to add

Friday fly into Venice - 2 nights
(second time in Venice so don't need longer)
Sunday morning train to Rome - 2 nights
Tuesday morning train and ferry to Capri - 3 nights
Anything specific must see around Capri?
How to I get around is there public transit or I need to hire private tours to go see amalfi coast pompeii etc.?

Missing anything?

If you're at all interested in Florence, it's on the way to Rome.

Is there anywhere cheaper to stay in Capri than the hoyle with the kosher? 500 euro per night is a little extreme.

Book your ferry to capri in advance and your train tickets. Similar to airline fares they all go up as it gets closer.

Hotel Della Piccola Marina , charming hotel in Capri with nice pool and good location. Take a boat tour around the island in the morning and rent scooters one day, go to the blue grotto after it closes to boats, and swim in it. Have a beer after and enjoy the view! Worth renting the scooters for 24 hours.

How many kosher wineries are there in Italy? Are they worth visiting?

Define acceptable. Neither are in the cRc list or kosher quest. They are smaller.

I visited Terra Di Seta and enjoyed it.  Hearing the routine used to make wine was interesting and the Mrs, who ran the tour, was great.
Driving there was BEAUTIFUL!  But get good directions there; we got badly lost GPSing to the wrong place.

Cantina giuliano is an amazing experience  and everything is hand made. Even the cheeses and fish are personally made/caught by the owner. He was also knowledgable in all the halachos regarding wine making and kitchen standards etc.

I will be staying in the alps in Italy or France for a week in August after that I have another 4-5 nights (over shabbos) until my flight out of Milan
Traveling with kids ages 3-9
What city would be a good option to stay in Italy that has shabbos with food nearby and hotel or apartment near shul
Going with kids so Venice is probably not a option as it will be overrun
Rome might be a option, but it's a bit far from Milan and from alps
Any ideas?

On par with mainstream US hashgochas or no?
