Driving through Tuscany between Florence and Rome is beautiful.
But a train between Florence and Venice is well worth it. It's about the same time.  The trains are comfortable.

Both options looks great!

Any reason you're driving Rome to Venice? Train or plane would probably be quicker/cheaper.

As far as I know, the only kosher establishment south of Rome, is the Tiberio Palace in Capri which isn't cheap. I've ordered some meals from Chabad of Naples in the past, but if you're coming from Venice/Rome, I'd recommend you bring along food.

Since you've already seen Rome, another option for 2 days might be Lake Como/Alps.
Driving through Tuscany between Florence and Rome is beautiful.

In Tuscany there are 2 wineries that have some kosher status.  check if it's good for you. One has the option of dinner and / or sleeping quarters.

Thanks much
From searching online it seems like one is only serving lunch and the other is serving dinner too

Hi! Thinking of travelling this summer to Italy, with the following itinerary:

Thurs flight from JFK to Venice, arrive Friday morning. Stay in Venice until Sunday morning.

Sunday morning flight from Venice to Naples (going to Capri). Stay in Capri until Tuesday morning/midday.

Tuesday train from Naples to Rome. Stay in Rome until Thursday morning. Flight from Rome to JFK Thursday morning.

Haven't been to Italy before -- should I skip anything above for Tuscany? Was also not sure about Capri vs Amalfi coast, but am leaning towards Capri because of kosher restaurant option (the hotel itself is fully booked, but there are other hotels nearby we can stay at and eat in the kosher hotel).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I would give Venice some time. You want to be able to sit by the Rialto at sunset, see Murano... Spend quality time....

You may be trying to fit too much in too small a time.
Spend more time in fewer places and get to see and do, rather than hit more places without engaging.
I'm think you're short-changing Rome; but I enjoy historical sites.
I think you've got Venice covered Fri - Sun am.
I've not been to Capri; I don't know anything about it.
Tuscany is beautiful, but there's not much to DO. Just look around, but that's relaxing.
Conveniences make a difference.  Kosher hotel, for example.  Rome has great kosher dining, btw.
Note what each area offers. Decide what things you'd enjoy. Pick the places you want to go. Don't listen to the naysayers - a vacation should be customized to the vacationer.

Personally I think you're cutting Venice and Rome too short, just to get to Capri. I would cut out Capri, depart Venice Sunday night for Florence, spend Monday in Florence, then Monday night train to Rome, and stay there until departure. If you want to add something, you could hit up Pisa or one of the kosher places in Tuscany.

As the comments before this one suggest, it's about what your interests are and how relaxed/rushed you like your trips.

Personally, I think your itinerary is doable, but a bit rushed.

This.

Wasting too much time to get to capri. Tuscany is really nice. I wouldn’t skip it.

eh on Pisa. The engineer made a mistake and the building is falling. The city is out of the way and has nothing else worth going to see.

I would do Venice & Amalfi coast. Capri on a day trip & Rome for 24h at most.

Rome is unpleasant in Summer and will be the easiest to visit on a future trip.

You can also just to do Milan/Lake Como/Venice/Florence/Tuscany & leave the South for another trip.

Does anyone have any info or opinion on the year-round kosher hotel located around 2 hours+ away from Venice??
It's called "My Kosher Hotel" (located in Canazei)

to sum it up
Italy has a lot to offer which can take over a month to really cover it all so besides the basics Venice, Rome ETC. it comes down to what someone has a bigger interest in

I am travelling next week iyh to Florence and Rome with my wife and infant.
Debating if I should bring the bugaboo stroller, or just make do with the doona/yoyo/carrier.
He sleeps well in the bugaboo but would it be to much of a shlep?
Baby hasn't been in a carrier or yoyo yet, so its untested waters!

Anyone travel recently with a baby that would like to chime in?!

would not recommend schlepping a bugaboo
if you booked a seat on the flight for your infant or if you're planning on renting a car I would say the doona is your best option
