Hi guys need some help..
Id like to do a nice trip with my wifeto italy. Wed love to see rome and venice and it looks like the forums have plenty on that.
My question is about the amalfi coast mainly capri, sorrento, positano etc.
Anyone have experience? Where to stay? How to plan? Etc? I have enough points with most programs.

Are all these trips doable with kids?

I recently spoke to a woman (not Jewish) who had gone there. She said it was extremely expensive, very touristy and the people unfriendly to and quick to take advantage of Americans. She didn't want to recommend a trip there.

The pictures look amazing and I'd really love to see it but why waste a whole trip going somewhere like that when there are other places that are more friendly? You don't want to put in all the effort and come away with a bad taste in mouth.

Just my two cents.
Work is what you do between vacations.

He leaves them with the wife and goes diving for 2 days :D

Truth is we actually did enjoy having Rafi in Hawaii and BA but we also enjoyed leaving him with Bubby and doing Paris, LA, and BA again without him.
Just very different trips of course.

We must have very different kids. We did LA -SF with our 9 month old daughter and said "never again". She decided to get sick in Hollywood on Friday and we had to find a pediatrician to see her.. Then I realized that although we like traveling, she prefers being home (or by relatives). And that is exactly where  she goes when we travel.

Not really fair to judge that based on one trip where she got sick.
I'd try again.
