Would like to go to Italy for about 2-3 weeks around August 7th.. Im contemplating renting a car and driving along the coast of Italy, and other charming italian cities. Though my thoughts on renting a car is mixed, on one hand id get lazy and not get the entire feel of getting lost in the city, on the other hand it seems like a pleasure not to shlep suitcases of food and clothing and not having to abide by a specific train schedule and being able to find the quaint italian towns by mistake.
-My question is, does it pay to rent a car in Italy?
-Any cities that are a MUST see?
- Would love to see more of Tuscany ( did Florence and its still my favorite vacation spot as of now. )
- what cities besides Rome, venice and Florence would have kosher restaurants?
- any cities in Amalfi coast are a must?
- Am i making a mistake doing this trip for three weeks as i find Italy has a sort of magic to it.
- tickets are very pricey to Europe last minute, i have a nice chunk of amex points is it worthwhile to book my tickets with points, and what would be the best city to fly into? Rome?
If anyone has any Italy info they would like to share that would be fabulous. Thanks in advance
