Sure.   The inside bowl is metal, but not the paddle, that's only plastic.

How much from the (Klein's) mixture do I put in that it should come out to the maximum 1.5 quarts?

This ice cream machine is a gift that keeps on giving. I just picked up 4 cartons of ice cream mix from Klein's in Brooklyn (48 in total for huge cartons), and I am enjoying the Ice cream immensely. Great Investment. Thanks Dan
Is this Kleins on 15/37 in boro park?

How much does that make?  How much fits in the machine in one batch?  HOw many servings is a 1.5 quart batch? [How big are your servings?]

Using it for the first time I put in 3 cups of mix, because it said that a serving size is a half a cup. So I figured 3 cups will make 1.5 quarts. But it looked like I may have been able to fit in more. The thing that really bothered me though was that after you make a batch of ice cream you're basically done. CMIIW But you can't make another batch because the bowl wasn't solid frozen anymore. After putting the bowl back in the freezer, thinking that it will freeze again quickly, it felt like it defrosted even more when shaking it. So is there any way to make ice cream twice in the same day using the same bowl?

I have made at least 4 or 5 batches without a problem. The container doesn't need to be frozen to make the ice cream. IOW even when it defrosts slightly it can be used. Interestingly, for me the second batch always tastes better. Enjoy

Thanks I'll try that next time. I was just under the assumption that it needs to be solid frozen, because the manual advises to use it right away after taking it out of the freezer due to quickly defrosting.

1.5 quarts is 6 cups.  Average serving for ice cream is 1/2 cup (12 in 1.5 gallons).  3/4 cup is a nice amount (8 servings).  A measuring cup may give you an idea.

Thanks.  That almost covers it.  How much mixture goes into the 1.5 qt bowl? 1.5 qt (6 cups) of mixture?  or less and it fluffs into 1.5 qts?

A typical ice cream recipe is 3 cups of liquid, 2-4 eggs and about 1/2 c sugar (plus flavorings).  I'd say that is about 4 cups or so of substance.  Please excuse me if I'm off on this.  I'm talking measurements and logic.  You'll let us know reality.

Ask your LOR before buying. Even though it's cold, you may still want to check.
