Just being honest  . My mother makes some really good dishes, but my wife is hands down a better cook.

Well my mom is a great cook ,
But b"h my wife is too!!
And while my mom made stuff more based on what my father likes - my wife cooks to my taste - which should usually mean you like her cooking better I guess .. And hence eat more and gain more...

It's because young Jewish wives, unlike your mom, are often overly zealous (G-d bless 'em) about cooking three nutritious meals a day for their new husbands.  Guys not used to eating like that often put on lots of weight in first year after marriage.

so to start CV. My wife is 25 and knows her way around the kitchen. Check out my little world under my avatar. (Yes bakes too).  Second my moms food was eh....(shhh don't tell her) though she was ok. But inwas an only child home for 9 yrs so it was catered to me and dad. And lastly. I must agree judak. That's the real excuse, i say now to ppl "i ONLY eat my wifes food and she makes just suppers bec she works". A whole new twist on it

For the record I am not putting down anyone’s wife’s cooking. Have you ever seen a 20yr old in charge of a major restaurant’s kitchen?
