Things you should never say to your wife.

First thing I read that made sense.

For the record I am not putting down anyone’s wife’s cooking. Have you ever seen a 20yr old in charge of a major restaurant’s kitchen? 

it's different. A lot of Jewish girls grow up helping their mothers in the kitchen so they have experience. It's not like they get married and are thrown into it.

i didnt think u were putting down. I was trying to explain why yes what ur saying makes sense but there are lot of exceptions in he jewish world. Since there are so many holidays and jews have tons of kids, a mom will have it hard cooking for everyone. So the kids help out a lot. And sometimes yes, 20 yr olds suck at making food. (How....is still mind boggling. Its just following a recipe). My sis in law makes horrible food. (She also bought a bugaboo at full orice. so she just might be brain dead...who knows)

Just in general. I just don't see a 20yr old being that great of a cook.

1. most of the wives here come from large families were there's always plenty of cooking to be done.
2. Shabbos. Imagine cooking thanksgiving dinner every week. (Different menus, but similar types / varieties of dishes.)

My sis in law makes horrible food. (She also bought a bugaboo at full orice. so she just might be brain dead...who knows)

Imagine cooking/eating thanksgiving dinner every day when you go visit the in-laws. When it comes to cooking and food you guys are out of your league on this one.

I wasn't home for 5 years by the time I got married.  Many here dormed already in high school so the number is even greater.

 I live in a small town where this guy named Dan started baking challah every week because there is no kosher bakery.  The challahs were מוקצה מחמת מיאוס .  I never brought them into my home bui used to eat them every week for סעודה שלישית .  Anyway every Shabbos we had company when I took a bite of my wife's challah I would say "wow, Dan's challah gets better every week"
