Best cash back
« on: May 29, 2013, 01:01:57 PM »
I just know someone will say it's in a thread somewhere, but there's just too much to search through. If someone can point me in the right direction...
Looking for the best card to get with the highest cash back (and low fee or free). No points, just cash. Thanks.

Travelocity
Fidelity

Search for them, should be 2%
Not sure if the Fidelity is still available
Tavelocity is with points but at the end of the day you end up with 2%

Barclays arrival 2.2% and Cap1 Venture 2%, both redeemable for travel but...

Yes but sometimes there are hoops to jump through.

@ OP - What are you looking for? Everyday spending or to churn to make money?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Doesn't say anything about cash back, only miles???
Their miles can be cashed out directly (as opposed to finding a broker) albeit with some hoops.

Hoops being a refundable travel charge?

Its very simple to find a broker that wants your UR or united points/miles. Seems the best card would be the United card. You get 1.5 points per $1 spent. I had no problem (the broker actually keeps on harassing for more pints/miles)  getting 1.8 for UR and 1.55 for United. that would mean united gets you 2.325% cash back. You can probably find better. There is also capital one business that gives 2% cash back

Yup

So what do you do? you buy a ticket, cash out the 2.2% and then cancel the ticket? Wouldn't the CC company catch on in a minute?

isn't 1.5 points only with the united club card, which comes with a big annual fee?  Regular United is 1 point per dollar.

Oops. I am relatively new at this, I honestly didn't know there is something wrong with transferring points to someone else. I am earning the points honestly by spending money on the card. Why would they care what i do with the points?
