If the threads are easy flowing reading, why would it need an incentive?

Maybe there ought to be a thread dedicated to grammar/punctuation etc...

3. Actually, I didn't "edit away typos/typo's" (as I personally don't really care about typos/typo's/grammar/puctuation/useless drivel) what I did do was add more to the original post.

I opine that the difference between texting and posting in an online forum is vast. One is a private message generally read once, by one person, whereas the other is a permanent and public representation of your statement.

Anything that is being prepared for public consumption should be given care.

Of course there's another difference which is also relevant, and that is, that in a text you are usually limited on space so you don't always have the luxury of punctuating and making sure that everything is grammatically correct.
