Some one please add the difference between: than and then; to, too and two; weather, whether; suit, suite; where, were, we're; and your and you're.

Thanks!

Ok, I'm sick and tired of people making glaring spelling mistakes. Now, we all make mistakes every now and then, but that's no big deal. I wanted to point out the obvious things that people misspell and hopefully it will bring an end to the madness.

The word "then" is used as in "I went to the store, and then I went home."
The word "than" is used as in "I would rather go to the store than go home." or "I bought more than 10 items using GCO."

The word "there" is used as in "I went over there to see the sights."
The word "their" is used as in "I used their bathroom and it was clean."
The word "they're" is used as in "Those Jews, they're really nice people."

The word "right" is used as in "It's on the right side."
The word "write" is used as in "I will write a post about it when I get home."

The word "your" is used as in "I see your point." or "I read your post."
The word "you're" is used as in "I see what you're saying." or "You're so wrong about that."

Corporate, Automatically, Personally, Didn't, Should've, Would've, Could've, Don't, A Lot, Won't, Aren't

If anyone has any other words that are commonly misused or misspelled, please post for everyone's benefit.

Just took a quick peek into this thread, I don't think it's a nice idea.

Kettle calling the pot black (esp in this thread).
like ive mentioned a few times now, capitalization doesnt appear to bother too many. i believe the reason is because even without capitalization, the comment flows.

however, with regards to spelling and grammar (missing commas etc) mistakes, it doesnt, and is thus annoying.

not sure why youre having a difficult time grasping this

I'll grant you that your comments are, for all intents and purposes, readable.

I'll further grant you that missing commas and poor spelling is more annoying.

That said, a number of 1500+ posters have expressed their disdain over a lack of proper "netiquette" including a lack of capitals (I'd go back and point them out, but I'm not sure I want to waste the time, and you can do it yourself).

Last, and probably for the third or fourth time, why is so hard just to do it correctly by pressing the shift button? Not sure why you're having difficulty addressing that question.

many times i post from a laying position so its inconvenient to hit shift. but like i said, i would try to make the extra effort should 10 people request that i do so. so far i count only 1
