While I do agree, I'm pretty sure I never voiced an opinion in that direction yet.

I opine that the difference between texting and posting in an online forum is vast. One is a private message generally read once, by one person, whereas the other is a permanent and public representation of your statement.
Anything that is being prepared for public consumption should be given care.
Of course there's another difference which is also relevant, and that is, that in a text you are usually limited on space so you don't always have the luxury of punctuating and making sure that everything is grammatically correct.
I'd be happy to remove you from the fated "list of 10" if you so desire.
