Absolutely! It's so annoying when people say something like "I got it for Yankel and I".

When I answer the phone and they ask for me, I like to answer "speaking".  It throws off those telemarketers.

In my line of work, we like to eliminate words rather than revise them.

I would have written: "Advertisements are not allowed."
