Exactly. Hashgacha Prutis is dependent on Emuna. Emuna = belief, so you have to believe that there's hashgacha prutis.

I think that in its simplest from, the difference between Emuna and Bitachon is that Emuna = belief (from the word אמן - truth), while Bitachon = trust (from בטח - sure and secure).
