I am not looking for a discussion on the subjects. I was hoping for a simple yes or no answer to better understand where everyone is coming from. Was not expecting differences on these subjects.
To some it all up, we believe.
That when a leaf falls off the tree, it happened because G-d wanted!
Do Jews believe in free will/choice?
yes its called bechira
What about "divine intervention" do they also believe in that?
Yes (what's counted as a miracles is debated)
yedia?
That God is all knowing and knows what will happen
How all that comes together is where it gets complicated

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Lizchus?

Z'chus: noun. merit.

The "L" is a prefix. In Hebrew, some prepositions are prefixes. L or L' or Li or Le or La are all "to." Hence, L'chaim means what, Count?

Yes! Very good! Now you will never forget that.

Look for the common prefixes: L (is to or for) B (is in or with) K (is like or as) M (is from or than) SH (is that.)

Can you think of Hebrew phrases that start with these prefixes? Can you separate the prefix from the main word?
