Looking to split AMEX CENTURION - BLACK CARD -
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:52:07 PM »
Is anyone is interested in splitting an AMEX black card? The benefits are unsurpassed by any card in the world!!!

Normally it costs
Initiation is $5000
Annual Fee is $2500 Primary
Additional Cards is $1500

It would have to be $1000 per person to initiate
Annual fee will be $2000 per person

Just a few benefits to mention include:

Continental Gold
Delta Gold
US Airways Platinum
Virgin Atlantic Gold

Avis Presidents Circle
Hertz #1 elite

Spg Platinum

and many others....

You don't get SPG Platinum.
And you need to spend $250,000/year on AMEX cards to get it.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The benefits, when compared to Amex plat, are not worth the price.
Now, if you're in a position where its important for people to think of you in a certain way, it may be worth it...

If you travel alot but not enough to get mid tier status on any airline or car rental or hotel than it is definitely worth $2000 a year. The initiation fee is a too high to justify.

Like three years back I was offer to waive the initiation fee but never took them up on it and about four months ago I asked them how flexible they are with it and they said not at all.

If you travel a lot, you already will be mid-tier on your home airline and will not need this. The black card is wallet candy. Most of the benefits of the card can be had simply by following the forums. As you can see from my "Programs" to the left.

Once you called attention to your statuses- would you be so kind to list how you achieved each one by following the forums?  Would greatly appreciate if you linked the specific posts or threads to each program.
thanks

He's got a pretty impressive list, and worked hard to get there, make the effort and you can do it to.

I don't think Eli invested all that effort just so he can hand it to you on a silver platter.

Don't really understand your logic? Is there some sort of stigma with being helpful and generous here?  From what i've seen on this site most everyone is more than glad to help others out.  I think most people, myself included, would not hesitate to at least point someone to previous posts .

There are some things which may be loopholes. People are afraid that if they just post them on the internet, they'll get closed

Which is why i asked him to elaborate on: "Most of the benefits of the card can be had simply by following the forums. As you can see from my "Programs" to the left."
I'd be most appreciative to be pointed to previously posted entries on the forums.

Preferred status is available to anyone that signs up. It allows you to pick up your car without going inside to fill in any paperwork.

Avis First is earned by a number of rentals.

Avis Presidents Club and Chairmans Club are usually by invitation only.

aussie, what im asking is, your loshon of "usually" can clearly be meduyak rov(usually) and miut. Is this miut currently a miut hamotzui. (I know thats technically a wrong usage of the concept of miut hamotzui, so dont jump on me, I mean, is it findable, not is it a commonly found miut)
