I think you should abolish the 18 age minimum for buying alcohol, and require each store to employ a full-time psychiatrist to evaluate the competence of their customers.

Correct,  amd most of the time, once they find the correct thread they wouldn't even need to post.

They can read the wiki and a few pages (yes, people are expected to actually read the last 20 posts in that thread) and they would probably find their answer.

You guys are living in fantasy world. They are not going to search and find the correct thread to post in. It is just going to take more threads OT. Look at the thread I linked to started by an elite member. That has been asked and answered many times.

1. I think there should be a new "start here" board added (on the top of the page) which should have all the basic info a newb needs. e.g. links to the start here / master thread of master thread threads, forum rules / guidelines and a thread such as suggested in the OP.

I second that. Plus noobs should be allowed to start threads in that forum. But let them be warned if they start dumb threads there they will be treated as such...
