HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

it appears that gave me a different FFN number for my AAdvantage business account

I am assuming iI can transfer the points to my personal AAdvantage account so I can combine my miles?

Is there any reason why I should keep the miles in the AAdvantage business account?

In regard to AA Status loyalty points earned via Citi AA card, does the charge have to post by February 28th or if is still pending on February 28th and does not post until March will it count towards last year's status?

I've seen reports that they will post as February 28th for this statement based on last year's experiences. I guess you'll find out in a couple of days.

Mistakenly signed up for the statement credit offer thinking it’s for all purchases. Turns out it’s only for AA. Does anyone know if GC works?

Why doesn't this card carry any travel protections? Pretty odd for a travel card maybe its just a Citi thing?

I got approved for the 60K offer end of January.  I want to ask to be matched to the current 75K offer but I can't seem to find where to send an SM to Citi.  Only phone numbers and chat.  Is there a way to send a SM or have they taken that away?

If you can send a secure message, why can't you chat? The 75k offer has more spending; I don't know if they'll match that.

Asking for a friend
Opened aa card. Put in Aadvantage number. Spent $15k. Turns out the AA account was closed/terminated/dormant. Called aa they said only citi can help. Citi said can’t switch accounts. Only suggestion they had was to close cc and start again.
Anything to do about these lost points/spend?

Anything to know before closing an AA business card? Must the miles be transferred out first? Anything else to be aware of?
