HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

A few of my relatives (different addresses) applied from the same computer. (I think it was different ip addresses). Everyone had to verify the home phone number thru the fraud dept.

Did anyone else have to verify the home phone number, by citi calling them at home?

They also asked everyone, if they applied themselves.

Wasn't it possible until now to get the statements in pdf format right after the statement closes?
No pdf for you?

Each application is approved manually. My theory is because it's my first citi card. I called call center about waiving it and was told it wasn't for a year. Then I called back and said I wanted to apply and that my friend wasn't being charged and I wanted to know if I would be either and her supervise said the manual selection story

i dont have bluebird so i dont stand a shot at 10k in 3 months
amazon payments 1k*me and my wife*3 months=6k
you have 90 days for spend not 3 calender months.
AP goes by calender month so you can do 4 months of AP in the 90 days. 1k*4 + 4k for wife= 8k.
Think you can manage 2k in 3 months for 100,000 miles?
