HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Anyone know if there's a way to transfer points to a spouse's account without paying the $20 per 1000 miles + $35 transfer fees?
Want to book 2 seats: 1 account doesn't have enough for 1 ticket, and the other account has enough for 1 ticket but not 2. Together, we have enough...
First rep said can't be done w/o fees. HUCA?

For the 200$ statement credit, do I have to purchase $200 worth of AA stuff or is anything fine?
Anything's fine.

Dont think its possible to avoid fees altogether in this scenario.

So what about opening another executive now with the 60k offer(first was 100k), then match it to 100k, would that work?

(I opened my first personal like 7 months ago,11 days ago the executive)

Since you mentioned it, my citi business points haven't posted it's already a week after statement closed, what should I do?
For those experiencing glitch with Citi AA miles not posting to AA account, you can contact AAdvantage:
866-668-9011 (direct number - no annoying menus)
M-F 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM central time.
Provide the last 4 digits of your card, the posting dates (statement dates) for the missing miles, and the number of miles, and the AAdvantage reps can "open a case" to research it.

Although, I don't have any report on the results yet.

They also told me if I need a flight right away I should call them and they would put my account into negative. But either way they said it should be cleared up within 2 weeks. That was wed.

They told me in the middle of January that it should clear up in two weeks ... don't hold your breath!

New to the blog and don't see a thread on this AA MC Card.
The AA site indicates eventually this will be required for Club membership?
There is a $450/yr fee.

https://www.aa.com/i18n/disclaimers/Hero-ACExec-60K.jsp?anchorLocation=HomePageHero1&reportedTitle=Credit%20card%20with%20Admirals%20Club%20membership&reportedPosition=1&url=undefined&_locale=en_US&repositoryName=undefined&repositoryId=undefined
All it says is, that you can get into the lounge with just this card. It doesn't mean that you need this card to get in.
