HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Citi CR card (5% on everything not just G/G/D). You want another one?  :P
Name a Citi AA offer that didn't last long.

@dirah, but was it after 60 days or so? 65 days isn't the hard date.

I got around a 740 fico score a few more or less. And I just got my first aa executive card 3 weeks ago. You think it's safe to go for a second? I got 9k CL on my first card.

If it's hardcoded how do you explain this ?
Nothing in this game is 100% even if some would like to think it is.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Card is your key. Cancelled card will not work.

If you spent the 10k before the statement closes does the points post by the closing date even if you don't pay the bill before the closing date?

Previous reports indicated points posting. Annual fee may hit next cycle.

Also as I experience already make sure you have your AAdvantage # if you are trying to get into a us airways lounge as the systems are not linked and she could not look it up for me.

BTW, multiple reps insisted that I must unlock EX.  (NJ) :'(
