HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Free money until they get their pants sued off. No reason for ppl not to take them to court for their other miles in the account which were earned legitimately (when there is no proof of abuse from a returned ticket or two). That will end up costing them more in the long run...
Why must you continue to drag me into a thread I don't want to be in.
There's a reason they've been able to take billions of miles off their books via shutdowns without any big suit yet.
Due some research about the deregulation act and the Rabbi in supreme court vs NW.

And the plot CONTINUES to thicken... O0 . even if there is something he won't say. Although there probably isn't anything. Plenty of people probably did refundable tickets. I guess time will tell if they get a/a'd ....
You know what they say about a fool who doesn't open his mouth.

Do you think Chase A/As everyone who has violates a trigger here? http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/35174
If you sleep around it doesn't mean you'll get AIDS. It means you're engaging in risky behavior and you may face the consequences.
Most people appreciate warnings but this thread is getting pathetic.  You probably think the surgeon general has a hidden agenda in saying that smoking can cause cancer when plenty smoke without cancer.

this whole forum is about workarounds were suddenly worried about companies monitoring us...come on I know we're thick but there is a limit
This thread is bad for my blood pressure.
Every single thing I write on DDMS and DDF is with the assumption that it's going to be read by those in power and is weighed by whether I feel it's going to be acted upon or if it will slide.

I mean tiny shmais.com made it onto the Wikislides posted here yesterday :P

This thread is popping with drama #lovingit
Spy :P
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I don't think this is an issue but it can't hurt to bounce it off the people here.... If I have 2 weeks until the first statement closes, and I have spent~$10100 so far would returning 3 or 4 purchases totaling about $400 and then spending an additional $300 on the card be any sort of problem? Is I tony once they already give you miles for those purchases or even before....

Let me clarify...I meant by "there probably isnt anything" that There is no conspiracy. And in regards to people being a/a'd true not everyone may get caught, but a couple of people unfortunately will. Time will tell if people actually do get caught. And that will get rid of everyone's doubt's.
