HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Did anyone apply for a second card a few days after canceling the first one? Applying after canceling the first one is worse then applying while the first one is still open?

If they decide to ask questions, that may be harder to explain.

You can apply. Can always merge the two accounts.

in my situation that my AA account got banned and closed and my first card was linked to that account and earned my bonus there already, ill want to cancel the card now still to be able to get refunded the AF and apply for a new one with an other AA FFN

Can't you apply now, get approved with a new FFN and then cancel first after getting approved?

Not for me. I am senile and closed the wrong card.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

When AA writes me in the email that they are investigating  my account that i should provide them with all the info from the sale i made. does this mean that they have prove that i sold my miles and they wont believe me when ill send them some story..... or its just a way to get me to admit that i sold it,

Or in either way (1. ill admit and beg for mercy 2. ill come up with some compassionate story) they will any way shut me down..

They don't have "proof" but from their end they are 99.99% sure and they want you to admit and sign affidavit so then they have real proof and can go after who they want when they want and how they want....

On an AA positive note, a bit of topic/thread...

Freind wanted to, well, 'do smothering' with his AA account, but was 1,500 miles short, he called up AA, told them he's 1,500 short for a reservation if they could add it, and they gladly did. Good to know it's not hard coded.

2nd example of the alleged 60 day rule not applying to this this.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
