Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

May not be the same for all the cards, but people were churning the Executive card very aggressively recently.

My AA platinum select was hit with AF. what are my options?  Can I downgrade to no fee? Close and move line?
If I want free bags can I apply for another card (I'm assuming business though because personal isn't churn able anymore)?

You can downgrade to Bronze which is free but doesn't offer much, no free bags and only half a point on purchases.
You can't transfer credit with Citi unless your opening a new card, and even then YMMV.

You can just cancel and apply for the business.

Call them that you wanna close the card because you don't wanna pay the AF, when they transfer you to the "closing department" they'll a lot of times offer you a waiver just so you keep the card open (maybe with some spending requirements).

But if you do chose to close the card you won't be able to transfer the CL, except if you open a new card.

Any truth that targeted citi offers can be used in less then 65 day frame?
