Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Can't transfer CL in Citi without a hard pull - exception is if they need to take that credit to approve a new card in recon. Otherwise, if they approve you for any CL at all, you're stuck with the first number unless they do a hard pull.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

When booking ba award travel on aa and paying taxes with aa cc does that entitle me to free baggage or do I have to attach aa number to itinerary separately?

You don't need to book it with your AA credit card. Just add your AA FFN into the reservation and you will get the free bags.

Where do I enter it into the reservationat the time of reservation? Or should I enter it later On Rj.com?

got charged annual fee on the exec card for second year 2 months ago , didn't monitor that card and now i owe annual fee+late fee+ 30 day late payment on my credit report.
what can i do about my credit report and has anyone been successful getting them to prorate or to offer a refund after 37 days? they are being quite insistent that its not possible.
update, got them to refund the late fee as well as the annual fee even though it was over two months. still no dice with the credit report

Application denied
« Reply #8374 on: May 21, 2015, 03:32:14 PM »
Hello,

I got a CC application (business) rejection letter for the reason:
"Credit report show derogatory payment history"
Source: Equifax

I checked my report and there is no single negative note/mark/whatever on it.
Can someone shed some light on this mystery, please?

Thanks!

P.S. I plan to call into get an explanation from Citi but wanted to know my options first

P.P.S. I was considering to create a separate topic, but not sure which forum should it go to.

Checked out the FT thread but couldn't get a clear answer on this. I have a Citi Gold AA (applied April 25th), and now received a targeted Gold AA application. If I use the targeted Gold AA app, will I be able to get the bonus on the second Gold AA card?
