Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

I applied for an exec card and the statement shows that the points were awarded but AA.com shows 0 balance. is it safe to close the card?

Applied for a Business card a couple weeks ago, had one 2 years ago. Was initially approved with a small $1,500 credit line, but they said they'd have to get a 2nd approval to finalize it. Called again the next day, spoke with someone, who approved it and said it now had a $7,700 credit line, and would come in 7-10 business days. Almost 2 weeks later and nothing, so I called, and all outsourced CS could find out was that they were having "Delivery" issues and it hadn't been shipped out yet. Asked to be transferred to a supervisor, who said it was still not showing approved in system and it was a "System" issue and I should check back in a week, and couldn't tell me anymore about what was happening. Have never had this with any credit cards before, so does anyone know what's going on? Has anyone else experienced this with AA Business cards before?

Check to see if Citi created a new AA account for you and deposited the miles into the new account.

For many they pull EX and EQ and my data point was that it worked fine to just pull EQ with a frozen EX.

Wish they'd pull EQ for me.  Citi won't budge off EX in California.

As I posted about early last week, the increased 75,000 mile sign-up bonus on the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard will be ending tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, 2015. I have to take down my links to the offer at 5PM ET, so if you want to be sure you can get in under the current offer, I’d suggest applying before then.

As a further data point, on my recent CitiBiz AA application, I had a hard time getting my EX pin to work with Citi.  I have a permanent EX pin set up by Special Handling.  They were fine accepting it, but they couldn't get it to work in their systems.  I started with the Manila call center, then I tried with the US based call centers.  I eventually called EX Special Handling and asked if the pin expired after xx amount of time or xx amount of uses.  I was told there is no expiration, and that according to EX's computers all was straight.  EX lifted my freeze free of charge for 72 hours.  I called Citi back and completed the application process.

AMEX has used it countless times, Chase twice, and even Citi previously for the Personal AA Pt.

This can be done online (@ least the first time) free of charge too.
