Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Why don't you wait and maybe go for a third once the second one gets converted (if not killed by then)?
that's exactly it, wasn't sure if closing the first would mess up the third, thanks for clarifying :)

Clock starts whenever you open OR close. So yes, it would.

My card was approved 11/23/2015
On my citi account it states: expires 03/08/2016 (for spending 3k for 50k)
Shouldn't it supposed to be 3 month from approval (say 02/23/2016)?

For any (most?) of your Citi cards, click 'see rewards' or something worded similarly, and it'll show you a summary of what you've earned each month. For new accounts it will show you how long you have left and how much you've spent.

I am currently at day 35 Since opening the card. My 2nd statement (With the annual fee) posted Friday.

3 Questions:

1. Does it go by 37 days from the time you are charged for the AF, or do I need to to close the account tomorrow to get the Annual Fee back?

2. I charged my global entry fee on this statement, how long will it take for the reimbursement to show in my account? will it be reimbursed if I close the account?

3. I spent the $7.5k in this statement and the reward center for the card shows that I've earned it, yet my AA balance is nor reflecting the extra 75k, and on AA.com activity for that month only shows miles earned by spending on my other aa card (plat), but not from this card, spend of bonus...

Does your statement that just closed show you earning the bonus in the mileage earnings section? If yes, it will show up in your AA account in a day or two. Usually takes a few days between statement closing and miles hitting your AA account.

Now that i have the barclay red avitor aa card and the citi platinum select card i am confused on when it is most beneficial to use each of the cards.  Can someone give me a quick overview of when to use each card.

It says it on the actual statement PDF? I'll check in the morning

Citi's system is down tonight, so I'll confirm in the morning, but i'm pretty sure it was there.
