Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Booking tickets for my brother and his wife JFK_LAS on AA. He is trying to save money so thinking about opening an Citi AA card. Will he get the free bags even if he booked the tickets before opening the cards? I applied his AA number to the ticket.
Oh, and I booked the ticket through expidea, does that make a difference?

Can I get the Biz sign up again by opening under a new business? Does it make a difference if I canceled my original biz card or if I still have it?

There is 24 month language on biz cards now. I'm unaware of data points either way.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

More like product change but I'm guessing it's possible.

What has happened to Citi? Just got a new Exec. card. Tried using it at CVS last night (PayPal Reload) and got declined, which is understandable because it's a new card and large purchase. But it took me 30 minutes to get through to the fraud department, and after clearing everything up, the rep told me that I can go ahead and re-try my purchase today and I won't have any problems. Just went back and declined again. Called the fraud dept and on hold for over 30 minutes when finally someone picked up and couldn't even understand basic english so she hung up because she didn't understand what I wanted. Absurd.

It's one thing to wait on hold for regular customer service, but when there's a fraud alert, you shouldn't have to wait. Just sent them a scathing email threatening to close my account because the AF isn't worth it if I'm gonna have such bad service. Let's see if I get anything.

I've heard there's been a lot of problems (more than usual) since the Costco roll out and that they're doing away with retention.

This wasn't a retention call. It was fraud alert.

I'm looking for some AA miles. As far as I can tell, there are 4 cards for this. Here they are, along with the best bonuses I could find:
1-executive 60k/5k
2-platinum personal 30k/1k or 50k/3k
3-platinum business 30k/1k or 50k/3k
4-gold 25k/750
Did I miss any cards? Did I miss any better bonuses? Is it possible/likely to get approved for all of them? Do the apps need to be separated by 8 days + only 2 apps within 60 days?
Thanks!

Personal and business platinum should be 50k/3k. There are plenty of links out there for this.
