HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Before you freeze your Experian report, be aware of an unintended consequence: You will be removed fro preapproved credit offer mailing lists.
but you could  right away opt back in at

Found a targeted offer for the Plat. in the mail addressed to the previous tenant of my apartment. Offer is 40k/$3k and another 10k miles after reaching $5k in spending. Can I for sure use the offer code for myself even though I've opened/closed a Plat. within the past 2 years?

Plat personal & Plat business are 2 separate products, and no problem getting both (with bonuses), correct? Is the business card difficult to get as a sole prop., or comparable to Amex biz cards? Thanks.

Yes, no problem getting both with bonuses.

I've gotten the business twice as a sole prop. According to FT some can churn, some can't. In terms of difficulty, the first time I needed to send in info to verify my address, but then was approved with a small CL. Second time, also small CL, but I'll take it. Some people I know have had a harder time. So YMMV (as always).

Yes . Have been approved IME , and I have NOT seen any reports of denials on targeted mailers aside from violating 8/65 day rule.

If I have an exec card that is more than two years old, can I leave it open and open another exec card and get the bonus?

Nice. Do you know if it's possible to use (or reuse) someone else's targeted mailer - even if addresses / names / last names don't match?

Using someone else's target mailer might be my only hope. That or finding out when I got the bonus for my AA Gold card. It feels like a loooooong time ago.

If I have 2 RSVP codes for the AA Plat. and I use one of them to apply for a card on Day 1, and then the other to apply for the card on Day 9, will I get the bonus for both? Does it matter that the first one didn't convert to a WE yet?

YMMV. Used to work (no need for 2 different codes, same one twice), but unclear data recently.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Yes. Mailers are not bound by W or WE status . You will get both IME .

Please report back when you get the mailer. I have done it too many times to mention.
