HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

IIRC it depends on how many digits the code has.
9 digits. (It lets me modify the name)

I have applied for 7 AA cards in the last 24 months. I applied yesterday and got the usual message that they r processing. I called the reconsideration line and they told me that since I applied several times for this card, they will approve the application but i will not get the promotion miles.
I am going to do HUCA but wanted to check if this has this happened to anyone lately?

Got 2 offers in the mail a few days apart with a different offer code and NL. Can I do both as a BM or too risky?

You can't do more then 1 app every 8 days, do them 8 days apart (you can use the same one twice.)
Use someone else's offer, and give yours away, because once you use your own you stop getting them.

Once you no longer have the cards will you start getting them again?

On this topic, I received a 65k offer for the plat and was approved, then received a 65k offer for the gold, which I didn't apply for yet. I want to apply for the gold and then also for a Barclays aviator red card. Does the 8-day waiting period apply when applying for the plat then gold? Also, anything else I should be aware of? Thanks

It applies to any citi card.
Also you won't be eligible for the gold unless the offer doesn't have the 24 month restrictions

the gold offers usually have a 12 digit code, which means they cant be used by anyone other than the recipient.
