Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

When do the points earned from my Citi Business card post to my AA account? Do the loyalty points post at the same time?

Points will post when your monthly statement closes. And yes, loyalty points will post at the same time.

Is this worth to sign up and then downgrade after 12 month to no annual fee card?

Yes, 75k is a solid offer for that card (assuming you have use for AA miles)

Yes, 75k is a solid offer for that card (assuming you have use for AA miles)

Also, on a related note, the no-AF AA MileUp card is actually a decent card for groceries: uncapped 2X (and those miles count {at a 1x rate} as loyalty points too)

Yes i believe they do still pull your credit, and may even approve you for the card (despite being ineligible for the bonus).

Lets say youre gunning for exec plat and just got the card, and first card with citi… how fast should you be piling up spending? They gave a pretty generous credit limit, but dont want to raise red flags

Any tips for speaking to recon about the citi aa platinum?

Got rejected. I have good credit and income. I also have a Citi premier probably 6-12 months old.

Would they move a credit line to approve?

Citi is inquiry sensitive. Have you had many recently?

called citi to verify when accounts were opened.
got the dates which should allow me to be eligible
applied for this offer
didnt go through immediately but got text if i have time press 1
also got app ID and number to call

rep said the system approved me for 24,800 but i would need to move some of my available credit from the other accounts which in total is over 100 or 5k without doing anything.
i took the additional 5,000

If you’re an authorized user on someone’s Executive card, how do you link that to your AA account so that you get lounges etc..
