HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

a while back was a special public offer of 75k and that was rare and huge.
Huh? It’s the current offer. 3500 4mo. (And pretty much yearly)

80k is standard mailer.

Is there a way to know before you apply if you are eligible for the signup bonus (without checking credit report)?
Does it show a popup like amex does, stating that you wont be eligible?

Me neither. Is this the best option for racking up some loyalty points without getting too invested in the AA ecosystem?
Just signed up with Dan's link. Is there anyway to get a larger credit line? I usually put 6 digits of spend on some cards monthly and wouldn't mind putting a month or two on this card to rack up loyalty points and then move back to better earning cards. But with a low monthly limit it's going to take too long for my anticipated needs and is also annoying.

Any reason to think they'll change when they just approved me with this limit?

@Dan Does this mean that the primary card member and the AU will both get loyalty points during this time period? That can be a good reason to add an AU and use a spouse's card to both get status at the same time.

"Through this special offer, Primary Cardmembers can earn 1 Loyalty Point for every 1 Loyalty Point earned by registered Authorized Users on eligible business card purchases, between June 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Adding new Authorized Users during the promotion period can accelerate your Loyalty Point earn even further.

Plus, through the AAdvantage Business™ program, your company earns 1 AAdvantage® mile for every $1 your registered members spend on eligible flights.

How it works

To unlock your ability to earn these additional Loyalty Points, you’ll need to have your existing Authorized Users complete registration with your AAdvantage Business™ account. Inviting your Authorized Users is quick and easy! Visit our registration guide for more information.

When you add new Authorized Users* to your card account, they’re automatically registered with your AAdvantage Business™ account after their first purchase. Starting June 1, 2024, you’ll begin earning Loyalty Points on registered Authorized Users’ card purchases, accelerating your path to AAdvantage® status.

Remember, all existing Authorized Users must register with your company’s AAdvantage Business™ account by July 31, or their card account may be closed."

Can someone explain in simple terms, If/what benefits I have by having the AA Business account (that I have by having the Business AA card), in reference to booking tickets?
Do I still book under my personal account, or do I book under the "business account" and then transfer the points to my account?

Interesting that they pull yours before the increased offer ends. I'll try to see if they can wait a few days.

Got AF, any reason to keep card open? (Have the business version as well). Will Citi let me transfer the credit to another card, if I close?

Opened this and met spend requirements. Now they're telling me I am ineligible because I had a similar product within last 4 years. I had no idea this was an issue for me until right now. Anything I can do about this?

Anyone else have issues with Citi marking transactions as fraud and blocking you from using your card?

I've had a transaction blocked 4 times, no notifications, I called in, they said it was blocked for fraud, I verified it, tried again, blocked again. Now I'm blocked totally until they send me a letter and I'm a couple of thousand loyalty points short for a threshold.  :(

Legitimate transaction and I notified them, I don't understand what their issue is and why they don't have a normal process to resolve it like other banks.
