HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

I finished spending my required $5000 in my new AMEX Citi card, and even though I finished 2 billing cycles, I did not receive ANY miles. Is this normal?

I got the AAdvantage personal and Biz, is it possible to ask them to put the CL from the personal to the biz and close the personal?

(i need it cuz i go over my CL, and what i hear is that it is better to this on a Biz then on a personal meaning it will less hurt my credit)

YMMV
I don't know if they work the same way, but I tried that with the AMEX SPG and they said absolutely not. Business and personal is two separate entities and have nothing to do with each other.

Or just take the valuable info there and wikify it here.

The truth is that all dead deal threads should be killed off and moved onto a subforum to keep the place clean.  But that would require a ton of mod hours.
how about a paid mod?

@Shmulyg:
No.
It doesn't even work for non-AA cards.
BM with Citi is over.

new 50k link from FT
"For what it's worth.. Here is the link.. Although it was targeted email.. The link seems generic for 50k offer after $3k spend in 3 months. There is no landing page though and I have not applied using it

https://www.citicards.com/cards/acq/...&screenID=3001"
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
