HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

YMMV IME. Some rep will expedite it, others won't.

Even an added user?

Moshe123, can you please give me some advice? I applied on 8/2 in a 2 BM for a AA card personal & biz & got approved only for the personal, applied 8/9 also on a 2BM & both got denied. I have above average credit & usually get approved. What am I doing wrong?
Thanking you in advance

Ask why you were denied. As Meshugener said, it might be that you didn't wait for the 9th day.

you think there is a limit of the amount of cards? anyone get A/A'ed by citi?

can someone please explain to me what you do with these miles? do you sell or fly American ( I saw something about $150 credit on tix, or admiral pass...any updated info on this)?

and 1 more ( I promise) does it pay to just open a new FFN with each application or not to, because I know there are transfer fees associated with transferring points (not sure if it applies if its the same person)? I would think to open new FFN (if no transfer fees) so  they don't  get too suspicious

Whats the deal with this one?ETA according to FT wiki it means that fully churnable.

-1, all the MC apps have the 18-24 month language on them. The Visa apps just say new accounts. The MC apps all say new applicants.

So according to that logic, MC r not churnable? Visa still are?

Theoretically, more than a few is definitely doable.
Only for extreme abuse.

Can sell (need certain amounts) or fly.
Credits and passes aren't on current offers.

One FFN is just perfect.

?

It harms your approval chances. They only seem to care about total credit by them and can move credit. They are less likely to approve you if they see that you just closed such a card.
