HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

I was about to type an answer. I'm not lazy to answer.
I just want that you read the last 5 pages of this thread. I promise you that you won't have any questions.
I'm writing a long comment, so you won't think that I was just lazy to answer your question. It's pretty simple.
I hope that it was understood. Lets not have a thread of repetitive questions.

Thank you .. just read it ... How many of the visa's do you have active, if you never cancel the old ones ?
Pleas hold. Your call will be answered in the order it was received.

You can only link it if your current account is also a AA card, otherwise you need a new login.

-1, I just linked my new AA card to my Citi login that only had my checking and TYP card on it.

MC language

* This Citi® / AAdvantage® card offer is only valid for new applicants for a Citi® / AAdvantage® account made pursuant to this offer and is not available to existing cardmembers or recent applicants for a Citi® / AAdvantage® credit card.

Visa language

* Card Offer: This Citi® / AAdvantage® card offer is valid only for new Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® Visa Signature® card accounts pursuant to this offer and excludes any other Citi® / AAdvantage® credit cards offered.

Notice the difference? The Visa is churn-able because it says "new card accounts", not "new applicants"

But the terms are identical on the application page. No landing page on the visa.

So maybe the policy is out of the window. Nobody has posted evidence to the contrary recently. Nobody even tried.

if the MC language is accurate, then not only would it not be churnable, but you wouldnt get the bonus if you had the visa or amex before no ?

Got caught in the TYP shutdown net like the others from FT?
FT is for kids.  :P
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half
