Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Did anyone do a Ty card or something to make it a worthwhile 2bm, or does that not work?

That.
Even mixing business and personal? (I recently had a business and personal AA 2bm success and i'm wondering if that's an anomaly)

Since Amex stopped having good offers, only Chase and Citi are left. Not that big of an issue.

50K after spending 5000K in 3 months and then upgrading to platinum after spending 1$ another 25k then downgrading to green for another 1k is that not a good offer? 83K after all said and done!

FTFY.
You also missed the $200...

But Moshe is right. With all the clamping down and tightening the rules, this link is a bit of fresh air.

And no FRs with Citi. And Amex MR has dropped in value on the market. AA hasn't.

The difference between Amex and Citi is that Citi is good by mistake. They simply don't know how to manage their links. When Amex was good they were really good.

Amex only has nowadays 2 cards worth a pull, BRG and MB plat. How the mighty have fallen.
The regular plat and the PRG aren't worth it. Same goes for the starwood cards and the Delta.

למאי נפקא מינה? למקח וממכר. השתא דאתית להכי כולהו נמי למקח וממכר.

What we care about is now.

The great part of Citi is that they don't die fast because bloggers don't have the financial incentive to publicize it (the contrary).

PRG is worth it if you're eligible for the 50k plat upgrade link, and 5 free AUs for SBS.

But otherwise I agree, Amex doesn't have much worth getting these days.
