Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

You learn from mistakes. It looks like they pull Experian just for kicks and don't even look at it.

Which means... nothing.

They wouldn't have approved you if you would have frozen EQ.

ETA: Ah, did you mean freezing to prevent a double pull? If so, yeah, I hear.

That they will pull from 2 credit bureaus for 1 app which results in 2 hard pulls. (Ke'ein crap1)

Rep told me too. I am not sure they see it. They look at Equifax, but the system also pulls Experian.

Ya rep told me the same.
Spoke w a supervisor to try to remove it. She said that although there aren't any notes for a manual pull to approve the app (recon) the system might pull it on the back end to verify name, address, ssn etc. due to the patriot act as well as citi reg's. Therefore she would not send me a letter that citi did not pull ex, even though they don't have a pull in the notes.

People on FT seem to think too that the WMC link is also churnable. I think so too. I think that it's a general rule change by Citi.

This link? Doesn't really matter. I wonder why they changed their policy. Banks are becoming tougher, not laxer.

40K and 50K.

The second was the 50k. Right?
It's a long time since there was a MC 50k.

Approved for second 50k Visa. 1st app was 8/13/13 and second app just now. Citi is also giving very high initial credit lines. Each of the cards were approved with a $22k CL.

Anyone get more than two cards in 65 days?

That rule hasn't changed. So Citi made the churning easier, but it's going to cost you 1 pull per card, and no more than 2 cards per 65 days.

Give and take I guess

I by mistake (since no one rushed to answer me about it
Is it worth trying the Platinum Visa and MC in a 2BM?
) made a 2bm for the personal visa and MC, what is the next AA card i can try?

BTW i made the 2BM consumer since I personally had success with my mother for the Amex and Visa earlier in Feb. I beleive rulls changed since then, my app was declined before even processing started
