HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Applied today for 2 AA cards
Citi Plat WMC from wiki for 50K for spending$3000 in 3 months
Citi Business mastercard for 30K for spending $1000 in 3 months
When I pressed submit one of them error-ed out and I got confused as to which one so I reapplied for the personal one thinking that was the one that error-ed out. I got "we received your application...we will consider your request..." so i called recon and they said they got 2 apps for the personal and one was approved (50K) and other was denied for multiple apps. I asked if there is any record of the biz app they said no. That was when i realized that it was the biz app that was error-ed. I asked CSR if I can now apply for biz and she said its no problem. So i applied for biz again and got same "we received your app..." so i called recon again and they said can't approved for multi apps so i told her how it error-ed and i applied again but that was for personal and biz shouldn't be a problem. placed me on hold for abit then came back that i was approved for biz for only $1000 CL cuz I had other apps today. After i hung up with CSR i checked source code appid for first app there wasn't any # then checked for word business and it came up so i'm thinking that the one that error-ed out was the biz card but wasn't processed therefore no Appid#. side note I applied for the same 2 cards for my husband and got instant approval for both! we'll see about 2 pulls.
Almost guaranteed.

1. The 18 month rule is a myth.
2. Business AA cards are 100% churnable.

2. After what period of time?

1. No. For personal and personal. The "18 month rule" is a gross exaggeration.
2. 90/95 days. For optimal success you should close your existing AA biz card.

Meant to post this for a while now.
If anyone has the half credit/half charge cards, like the AA's, here is the direct number to the Citi No Preset limit spending department. 888-873-2349. I've done it a couple of times, you give them an 'offer' of how much credit you want, they will put you on hold for five min and do a soft pull and let you know how much you can spend.

Wasn't sure the correct thread to post in, so feel free to move. :))

Is there any way to apply (2/3bm, time period) for more then one citi aa card (personal/biz) with only one pull?

I don't think closing your existing card ever raises your chances of getting approved with Citi.

I applied for a visa CC (I currently have one open still) abd they tell me they are sending me a IRS form I have to sign and send back to them (I don't have to send them any proof of anything).
Does anyone know what this is about?

Is there any reason not to link my new mc citi aa to my existing online profile which has a visa aa?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
