HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Citi in general doesn't do transfers (only when applying for cards - and have never heard of them transferring from biz to personal).

Applied for my wife for the MC and it gave me an error. So I tried the visa and got approved. Now I see in the mail that both cards were approved! Can she get 2x 50k?

I signed up for the AA Plat level WMC about 15 months ago.
I wanna do a 2/3 BM with Citi. I've read through the entire forum and I see some conflicting reports regarding the churning of the AA cards.
Can someone please suggest what my best move would be now?
-Thank you

Generally with Citi, if you get approved, you get the bonus.

Ok, blast the hell out of me if you wish...

But what's the deal with churning this card now? Was it a false alarm? Now that the smoke has cleared, can some kind soul write the chronicles of what has happened in the past month?

I currently have the Plat level WMC.
Does it make a difference if I now apply for the Gold or Plat level, or Visa/WMC. Or do my odds of approval remain the same?
(I know this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it)
Thanx in advance!

I called aa and they conferenced in citi. citi said they would open a dispute and they will look into it within 2-3 business days.
Does that sound right?

I had this with BOA and BOH, I called a million times and nothing doing (especially since both cards had exactly $1007.90 spend on it).

Got the Consumer Credit Protection Act (or whatever it's called) involved.

Got a phone call the next day and had everything worked out with some compensation.

Thanks for the good advice.

Can you post how you contacted the Consumer Credit Protection Act or whatever their name is.

The Gold used to work regardless of your status with the Plat. Not sure if it still does. As to the Plat, it depends on when you opened it.

There was a two-month period in which you were able to freely churn the Citi AA card. Unfortunately, as all good things, it has come to an end.

Just got an offer for 50k points and annual fee of $50 waived for first year. Citi Aadvantage WMC. Anyone else getting the lower annual fee?
Edit: It was for Gold not Platinum.

Is this a good deal? I haven't seen it posted anywhere. Citi Business AA - 50k - spend $3k in 3 months

https://creditcards.citicards.com/usc/Travel/AA/2013/August/CBAA/MC/50k/default.htm?BT_TX=1&ProspectID=9A2EAF531D134CBDBE74B64E2FB66D80

(I found this on a random site. If someone else's affiliate info is in there, feel free to take it out...)
