HT: FT

Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

There is now a public link for 50k miles on the citi aa card! (Unlike the FT link which led to no offer details).

For a limited time, earn 50,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles (previously 30,000) and 2 Admirals Club® One-Day passes after you make $3,000 in purchases within first 3 months.

http://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/earnMiles/beyondTravel/creditDebit/citi-platinum.jsp?anchorLocation=BP-Plat1&title=citi.

P.S. Hand me that HT :)

I applied for the offer in the wiki about a month ago, the offer is mostly the same, except that this offer also includes two AC passes. And this offer you see what your getting.

I just applied for the Citi AA platinum 50k, I was denied, reason, because I already have an American Airlines credit card, so I asked them but this is a different product( I only have the executive) , but they said they can only approve for one AA card, did anyone experience this before? I already have the executive card.

I did huka twice, got Same answer

Yes, it is known not to work if you have another aa card. Discussed the past few pages in this thread.

So now that this failed, can I go for another city app? Or do I have to wait 8 days?

Good news is, there probably wasn't any hard pull on your credit. When you get denied because you have the product already, they don't check credit usually.

Dear D93,

We have added the 2 Admirals Club Pass promotion to your current 50,000 AAdvantage bonus mile promotion. We will follow up periodically on your account to verify if you have met the $3,000.00 purchase requirement by January 28, 2015 and if so, the 2 Admirals Club Passes will arrive in 6-8 weeks.
(mighty fast response by citi!)

Business AA.
For any personal AA, you're gonna have to wait at least 18 months from opening the Executive

I SM'ed them. It's under the "contact us" on top right of your account page
