The only option is making an apartment to cover the taxes.

Neighbors. Unless your on a frum block which means more $$$$. In general, Chestnut Ridge is anti-development.

Sounds perfect lol, look at Monsey!  Roads are too narrow for the traffic, not enough sidewalks, garbage in the streets etc  :P

I lived on Calvert a couple years ago; every single one family house is now a 8 family monstrosity.

Glen hill is a new development. Who know where getty is? Its a drop up the block from there. (Not towards tuvias)

And there are a lot of requirements to be filled in order to get a room tax free or even more so a house. You need the paperwork. The minyan. The fire code. The building code. It ain't simple. But if u pay off st Lawrence and bribe him enough then ur good to go.

And yes dyke area personally is the next upcoming great place for yeshiva light who work but are still machshiv the torah life.

If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

If I'm looking for houses in that area or in the dyke area, what is the zip code so I can plug into homes.com

Also where can I find out more info on the new development

btw I recommend using www.zillow.com for house searching.  lots of good info there.  just don't trust the lot measurements if they sound too good to be true, and as somebody said earlier, NEVER trust the tax information :)
