I don't know abt taxes, but i do know of someone looking to move there and it's near a Rabbi Saperstien's shul which supposedly has young people.

Just spoke to my cousin. Rabbi Saperstien has around 110 families a very big mix. Ages from 24-40 ish. The houses go for 325-350 farther away from the shul and 375+ closer u get.

In Mosey it doesn't make sense to pay more to be close to a shul.  Somebody's gonna open a shul close to your house within 1-3 years no matter where you move lol

Also, on top of saving $50k, when they DO open a shul near your house the value of your house will go up faster than it did before :)  This gets even better if you buy just outside the big eiruv and in 2 years they extend the eiruv to include your house.

Anywhere outside the Monsey eruv.  I think most of the Kolel guys buying in Chestnut Ridge are buying outside the eruv, which saves you at least $50k, possibly a lot more.

Not everyone has a cool bike like you  ;D
But seriously speaking, unless you are trying to find the cheapest poss house it makes a very big diff how far you are from a shul and which shul. You don't wanna get stuck with a lippa as your rabbi situation (i'm sure he's a good rav) or a random bunch of either mad yeshivish or modern opening a shul down the block and you're stuck. I would say a mile is the farthest to walk realistically.

Again I'm not from Monsey so I don't know where the Monsey Eruv starts/finishes
