Standby for 2 day's early flight?

I have a AA reward ticket. If I need to return from the trip 2 days earlier, can I go to airport to standby?  If the answer is yes, do I need to pay and how much?  Thanks!

If >21 days, you can change the date without fee.

You can try the dumb blonde way.

Walk in as if your flight was that day.... what my flight is in 2 days?! but im going to my brother in laws wedding which is tonight....Impossible....there must be something that you can do....
