I signed up for it about 3 yrs ago. It really is primarily valuable to build if you want to take out a biz loan in the future, however I found when we were applying for a loc that the banks went through our finances with such a fine comb and the relationship we had with one of the bankers probably made more of a diff than d&b (which they never mentioned pulling)

How much did you pay them?

Don't recall tbh. It was not for my business but one I worked for and I can't access those records anymore.

It is also good if you want to get CC’s without a personal guarantee.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

AMEX Corp
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I was contacted by D&b abt my business and they basically charge per sales and merchants u have,,
they wanted $1100 a year for 10 merchants ..

Honestly the only good think to consider is that if u default on a cc or a loan your own social will not be responsible, as u put in your D&b number instead of your social.

There are a ton of Corp cards that do not require a personal guarantee. You can check CB for a list. Example would be HomeDepot/OfficeMax Corp cards.

I have no idea if there is generic Corp VS/MC CC's.

We paid top dollars for their service assuming it's the right way to build business credit, but unless you plan on dealing with government agencies etc. it's totally not worth it.
Their report is barely used by vendors or banks when extending credit. And D&B charges an arm and leg for anything you want from them.

On a side note, D&B will frequently pick up the same business several times and thereby creating more than a one profile for the same business with just a little difference in spelling or address, and as a result even a built up D&B profile doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be seen in the correct way as it should be.

I just got mail from them as I just got my ink bold last month and incorporated last year. I'm glad I checked this thread. I guess it's a no! Ha If anybody else has anything to add, let me know.

Can't answer about credit cards, but I have found that the large ESCOs will almost always check credit on DNB, definitely for larger accounts. I think that DNB is used more by vendors than lenders.

Well, that settles it then.  I'm service based doing Real Estate Investments, Rental Income, Etc.  So, I won't need DNB until I probably open up shop with Import/Export.  Thanks.

With real estate investments it could make a difference an ESCO, but will not be worth the cost. My experience is that I've always been able to get around it. If you want help with that them pm me.
