Hoping to learn why my post was deleted to do better next time
« on: November 16, 2017, 03:02:17 PM »
I have been using DD for quite a while, but am relatively new at the forums. I took the time to read the rules, and select what I thought was the appropriate forum to share a great deal I had found.  I soon received an email notice that my post had been deleted. Is there any way to learn what I did wrong or why the post was not appropriate?

I really appreciate the link. I read through each one, but could not find anything even remotely against the forum rules.  Thank you just the same.

9 out of 10 times a "deal" is deleted because it's posted by the seller in one way or another. Are you sure that wasn't the case  ;) ?

If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

I am absolutely certain. I have zero financial interest. I found a great deal at 86% off by stacking a sale with a coupon, and I wanted to share that to give back to the DD community. Regardless, it would be nice to get some explanation so I can do it right the next time and become a contributing member of the community, rather than wonder if I am wasting my time.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Funny how you read through the rules and couldn't find the one you broke, while you missed this one?
