I always knew that the NSA listens to all communications.
Way anyone really shocked?

Your point?
I have no point. I am trying to understand this off the wall post.
So was Germany in 1933 when Hitler was elected.

I think he was trying to point out the danger of a democratic society that willingly gives up its rights.

I am sure you've heard this argument before so I didn't think I had to elaborate. Germany was a democracy before they allowed the government to take full control.

People make the parallel to the US today. And that if we allow the government to go against our constitution, well that was the first step Hitler did to turn Germany facist.

So, sure we want to be safe, but at what cost?

Of course I heard that argument. If someone wants to compare a so called democracy that was in its infancy to the democracy we have now there is not much to say.

Finally we agree that there is not much to say. Well that is when talking to someone who doesn't even try to learn from history.

He's continuing to leak.
In his interview with a Chinese newspaper yesterday he discussed US cyber-spying on Chinese institutions.

OK, but there are 2 very separate issues here.

1. Was Snowden wrong and what should be done with him.

2. Was the NSA wrong, what should be done with them.
