If you're thinking about the buyout price when you leased it in the first place, you probably should be buying/financing in the first place and not messing around with leasing it first.
Not necessarily true. Leasing first let's you decide if you like the car and make sure it's reliable. There are times that leasing then buying after is around the same price as buying first

One more point,  if you buy it yourself you'll have to pay sales tax,  a good chunk of change.  If you sell it to Carmax you won't because they are dealers buying from hyundai directly
If name individual buys it they charge tax because they assume you are continuing to drive it. You could technically have a leasing guy/dealer "buy" it for you

That can only realistically happen retrospectively, and it would be due to that make/model/mileage vehicle increasing in value.

Why not? You would have to pay the tax when registering it.
Didn't mention this to avoid tax. But say a new yorker has the lease and i wanna register in MD I would go this route

True.  But he's in CA.  Wouldn't be a practical solution.  And tax is 9%

I currently have a Honda Pilot, Lease is up in a month
Looking for a SUV style with Leather and sunroof for under $400

Does anyone know from personal experience if a Toyota Venza goes into that category ?

Is the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder a good SUV ?

Ending up finding a great deal on the
Jeep grand Cherokee Limited-Nav,sunroof
For $399 and $1395 down, 10k 36 months

0$ down = $1395 at signing.
They had a Q50 advertised for $279, when everyone else was in the $319 range, and his price was only with loyalty, so wouldn't shock me I'd that's the case here too.

And I wouldn't be shocked either, but in the past I've shopped around with them and they were the cheapest in most stuff.
