checked him out, where does he say he has them in stock?

Also are most of his deals in western US?
He's an agent, don't think he shows stock but poke around. You can check out others too.

Does the current resale of vehicles affect your calculations?

Son bought a car for 19.2k out the door in 2016. It was just totaled and received 18.5k
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Anyone deal with a totaled car that was leased?  How does it work?

Hopefully you have gap coverage.

Yes but was told there’s a way to make money on it since the car may have risen in value.  Any ideas?

Does that make sense in today's market?

Insurance pays for the vehicle. Lease is over.

Yes but depending on the brand and state you're in, you may be entitled to the full insurance payout- even if it's more then your buyout.

Is it possible to swap in a current lease for a newer model? (I got my current lease pre-covid and the prices are a lot higher now)

Nope. Just happened to a family member in NY with Hyundai. There is clear language in the lease agreement that any amount over the buyout paid by insurance is theirs and does not go to the lessee.

Get the insurance check, keep paying the lease, then buy it out, then sell the salvage  ;)
