base model on Acura.com is $409 plus 3k down ($3k /36month is $83 a month) so $492 without any negotiation.

Have you ever walked into a car dealership? They can advertise 79 per month but it's meaningless

I'm looking to lease a mini van. I never leased a car yet in my life. Always financed.

  • Monsey area
  • Mini Van only (hey, Jewish and live in Monsey!)
  • Any brand will do. Prefer Siena, but anything goes
  • Must have Bluetooth! Ever tried dialing out on a smart phone while driving? That is not safe!
But here is the worst part... I put on approx. 100 miles per day driving to work, etc. 100x5=500 miles a week, x52 = approx. 26k miles per year... This is my only mode of transportation to get to work. No, I can't travel by bus. Monsey Trails has Minyan and Davening. I know. But I don't go to Brooklyn or Manhattan. No, I can't take the train, NJ Transit, etc. I just need a car to travel to work every day but I need it to be a minivan because I also need to drive around my frum family. Car pool, practice, weekends, etc.

I have no experience at all in leasing. Any recommendations?

Lease a mini van for your family and buy a clunker to get to work.
You're not getting a 26,000 mile a year lease.
I'm not who you think I am.

Or just don't lease.

If he uses a financed mini van to use to get to work, putting on that many miles onto a new car will have the value of the car go down very fast. He'd rather use a clunker to put on all those miles because the car cant loose to much value.

Lol, he'd rather?

Anyway, you can work out the math as to whether the hit to value on the minivan is greater than the cost of the clunker(s) over the life of the minivan. Also, some people need very high reliability on their commuting vehicle, and that would put the cost of having a dedicated commuting vehicle too high to be worthwhile.

I'm not saying your option is no good. I'm just saying there's another option that could be considered - sometimes your way will be better, sometimes not. The point we're all making is that putting 26k/year on a lease is cost prohibitive, and therefore should not be an option.

anyone know of a good deal on a (large) mid-size SUV that seats 7 or 8? Looking for a traverse/acadia or something of the sort...

bucket seats, leather/nav not necessary but looking to spend low to mid 3's and love bells and whistles...

I would say that you did very, very well for that price, nice! Did you qualify for any incentives? Also was it a bare bones model (no back up, no motor seats etc..)?

Has backup camera, bluetooth, I don't even know what else it has but honestly I don't really care.
Just was looking for something cheap for going around town and got it.

ETA: I didn't get any incentives, also has pushbutton start.
